Effective date: October 22, 2026

Everyday Abilities operates as Everyday Abilities Foundation, a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 46-4337288), in Berkeley, CA. Contact: info@everydayabilities.org · Contact form.

What we collect

When you use our contact, check-in, or resource-suggestion forms, we collect the information you choose to send (such as name, email, message, and any details you include). Form submissions are delivered by email to our organization (currently via Web3Forms to addresses such as info@everydayabilities.org).

If you comment on a Perspectives essay, we collect your name, an optional email address (never published), and your comment, along with a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type to limit spam. Comments are read and approved before they are published, and only your name, comment, and the date are shown.

If you email us or send a gift through your bank, we receive the information your message or payment system provides (for example email address and memo line).

How we use information

We use contact and form information to respond to your request, provide counseling or community information, improve our programs and sites, and meet legal or safety obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and tracking

Our public site is a static website. Apart from the Google Ads measurement described below, we do not use third-party advertising cookies or ad networks on these pages. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and secure the site.

This site uses Google Ads measurement to count form submissions from our ads.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example form delivery and email), when required by law, or with your direction. Gift processors you choose (such as your bank) have their own privacy policies.

Retention

We keep messages and records as long as needed for the purpose you contacted us about, program operations, and legal requirements, then delete or archive them according to our internal practices.

Your choices

Email info@everydayabilities.org to ask what information we have from you, to correct it, or to request deletion where that does not conflict with legal retention needs.

Children

Our sites are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Routinely app

Routinely Bowel and Bladder is a free iPhone app published by Everyday Abilities Foundation, with no in-app purchases. This section summarizes what the App Store listing says about it. You can read the listing on the App Store (opens in a new tab).

  • No account is required. Your history is stored on your device.
  • Cloud backup is optional. The listing describes it as using a private recovery key and needing an internet connection. Core tracking works offline.
  • App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected. The listing states that the developer does not collect any data from this app.
  • Backup files are private. The listing notes that full backup files contain private health information and recovery keys, so store and share them securely.

Routinely is a personal tracking tool, not a diagnostic or treatment service, and it is not medical advice. Follow your healthcare professional's plan.

This section covers the app. The rest of this policy covers our websites. Questions about the app can go to info@everydayabilities.org or through our contact form.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you have seen the revised policy.
