New addition Library demo Recreation

TerrainHopper

A recreational all-terrain four-wheel mobility vehicle for sand, trails, and rough ground that everyday chairs cannot handle.

More about the TerrainHopper

The TerrainHopper is a recreational all-terrain mobility vehicle for people with mobility challenges. It uses a 4-wheel drive system, suspension for stability, and seating that can be adapted to different users. It is designed for surfaces such as beach sand, forest trails, and rocky paths that traditional mobility devices cannot access. The design includes adjustable controls, all-weather capability, and safety features such as roll bars and seat belts.

This is a featured item in our demo library. Use the form below to ask about seeing it in person. Our notes: TerrainHopper in the Tech Guide.

BerkelBike

An outdoor recumbent tricycle you power with arm cranks and leg pedals together: a handbike and recumbent bike in one. Optional FES is available.

More about the BerkelBike

The BerkelBike Pro is a standalone recumbent tricycle with synchronized arm cranks and leg pedals. Turning the hand grips moves the foot pedals with them, so you can share the work across arms and legs, or pedal with the legs only while holding the grips as a handlebar. It is built for outdoor cycling, can be fitted with electric pedal assist, and can be combined with functional electrical stimulation (FES) so paralyzed legs can take part in the pedaling motion. The bike disassembles for car transport.

BerkelBike also makes Connect, a single-wheel wheelchair attachment. Connect couples to your own wheelchair so you can cycle without transferring onto a recumbent seat. The Pro and Connect front sections can be converted between the two setups. The photo below is Connect.
