ScootaTrailer

Library demo Mobility

ScootaTrailer pull-behind mobility trailer: a red and black open trailer with white-spoke wheels, a spare tire on the side, brushed aluminum fenders, a front hitch jack, and the rear ramp raised, parked on grass.

Our take

Not everyone can lift a scooter or power chair into a vehicle, and that is the problem the ScootaTrailer is built around. It is a pull-behind trailer, and what stands out is the low bed, about 9 inches high, plus a gas shock assisted ramp. Living Spinal's listing gives a 600 lb maximum load, four rope-pull tie-downs and independent suspension. Before you get excited, ask yourself two honest questions: is towing realistic for your vehicle and hitch, and can you load and secure your device safely? We keep one in our Equipment Library for in-person demos only, so you can see it first.

Who it may help: People who need to tow a scooter or power wheelchair and cannot lift it into a vehicle.
