Specialized Beds

Flexabed Hi-Low adjustable bed lowered beside a wheelchair for a seated transfer in a bedroom.

Our take

A bed that looks like a bed, not a hospital room: that is what Flexabed is going for. These adjustable beds are hand-built to order in LaFayette, Georgia, and the Hi-Low SL adds vertical height adjustment for transfers and caregiver access while keeping a residential look and mattress feel. The Premier line lists many sizes and mattress options, quiet motors, optional dual-timed massage and wired or wireless remotes. Other configurations include Value Flex and base-only frames, with accessories such as side rails. Confirm models, sizing and options on the Flexabed site. This is a pointer to the manufacturer, and it is not in our Equipment Library.

Who it may help: People who want an adjustable bed at home as an alternative to a hospital bed, and their caregivers.
