ROHO Quadtro Select Cushions

Air-cell wheelchair cushions with four sections you can adjust while seated.

Seating & Positioning

ROHO Quadtro Select wheelchair cushion: a black mesh-covered air-cell cushion with the IsoFlo Memory Control (green and red buttons) on the side and a yellow adjustment cord, shown against a white background.

What it is

ROHO air cushions let you sink into connected air cells, which spreads pressure. The Quadtro Select version can lock air into four sections, so you can add side-to-side or front-to-back support for posture. ROHO also makes simpler one- and two-section versions.

Who it may help

Wheelchair users at risk of pressure injuries, especially people who also need some help with pelvic position or balance.

Questions to ask your clinician

  • Do I need the four-section version, or would a simpler one protect my skin just as well?
  • How do I check the air level, and how often?
  • Can we do a pressure map with this cushion before deciding?

Paying for it

Equipment like this is often paid for, at least in part, by Medicare, Medi-Cal, private insurance, or the VA when a clinician documents why you need it. Coverage rules change and denials happen, so ask your clinician and supplier what paperwork is needed. If insurance says no, a grant program such as the Permobil Foundation may be worth a look.

Can I try one?
