Tolt Ability Drive for iPad + A13i

Mobility

Tolt Technologies A13i: an iPad in a black rugged case with a blue carry handle and an eye-tracker bar beneath it, showing Ability Drive on-screen direction arrows and a stop button over an outdoor trail view, mounted beside a power wheelchair joystick display.

Our take

Look at an arrow, and your power wheelchair moves that way. Look away, and it stops. That is the heart of Tolt's Ability Drive for iPad, and it is why we wanted to talk about it. It is aimed at people for whom a joystick no longer works or never did. It runs on Tolt's new A13i, an iPad paired with an eye tracker that can also adjust power seating. Tolt lists it as released October 1, 2026 and sold through distributors. Check that it works with your chair electronics and eye-gaze device, and talk it through with your clinician first.

Who it may help: People who cannot use a joystick, such as many people living with ALS, spinal muscular atrophy, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy.

This is our own summary based on the manufacturer’s information and our Tech Guide notes. We are not a seller, we have not been paid to write it, and it is not medical advice. Talk with your clinician before you choose equipment.
