Wandercraft Eve

Mobility

Wandercraft Eve personal exoskeleton: a black self-balancing walking frame with harness straps, armrests, and articulated leg motors, shown empty against a dark background.

Our take

Standing up and walking with both hands free sounds like science fiction, and Eve is real, with some big caveats. Wandercraft describes it as a self-balancing personal exoskeleton, a prescription Class II device with FDA 510(k) clearance, built for eligible wheelchair users with spinal cord injury. It lets you stand, walk, turn and use both hands on level indoor surfaces and patios, with a trained companion supervising. It complements a wheelchair rather than replacing it. Fitting, clinical assessment and a five-session training program are required. U.S. commercial availability starts September 17, 2026. Check eligibility with Wandercraft.

Who it may help: Eligible wheelchair users with spinal cord injury who want to stand and walk at home with a trained companion nearby.
